Training within WP5 for students and relevant stakeholders held in Kotor

The work of the I&E Center promoted in Kotor during “Days of Science and Innovation” event

The Faculty of Maritime Studies of the University of Montenegro, as well as the I&E Center were visited by over 200 students and teaching staff of primary and secondary schools from Montenegro on Friday, October 1st, 2022, participating in an event organized by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development under the name “Days of Science and Innovation”.

On this occasion, the technical capacities of the Center were specially presented to the visitors and the general public, within which the Laboratory for testing oil and petroleum fuels, the newly opened Laboratory for Maritime Archeology, the Laboratory for 3D modeling and printing, as well as the so-called Smart Bay laboratory for measuring and monitoring potential air pollution from vessels in the Bay of Kotor.

The Center was also visited by the Minister of Science and Technological Development, Prof. Dr. Biljana Šćepanović with her colleagues and expressed her gratitude to the staff of the faculty and the Center for the nice organization of this event, with wishes for the continuation of successful scientific and research work at our institution.

 

Meeting with stakeholders, joint activity of General Directorate of Marine Durres and University of Tirana, Faculty of Economy

A productive meeting with stakeholders was organized on October 4th, 2022, from General Directorate of Marine in Durres and University of Tirana, Faculty of Economy. The partners presented the outputs of the project and the contribution that they can give to the sector and the industry through the project. Upgrading the HEIs curricula in the Tourism Programs in UT as well as the Centers for Entrepreneurship and Innovation are discussed and presented as the project offer to collaborate with industry partners.

Available use of the equipment at the I&E Center in Kotor

A variety of equipment are installed within the Centre to provide connections between the academic staff and students of the Faculty of Maritime Studies and the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality of the University of Montenegro and employers, entrepreneurs innovators, doing business in the field of Blue economy. The Faculties provide through the Centre relevant equipment including notebooks, All in one PCs, book scanner (conceded to the Maritime Library), 3D scanner, 3D printers, eye tracking glasses with recording unit and controller app, statistic database software with structural equation modeling software, industrial chassis for temperature measurement, led screen, sensor base station for ambient air quality and environmental monitoring with wind and PM sensors. These equipment will be used for improving higher education process for the students and professionals within the institutions.
